Was he hammerin on it that hard or you think something wasn't welded good???

I'm hoping to see footage of him going around Mike Bowen on trail 6... my card got full right before he showed up so I didn't get any shots of it, but all he brought was trail-widening Hammer.. rocks and dirt were flying everywhere, concrete was kicking up, mike was taking cover behind his steering wheel.. logs were kicking around.. spectators running and ducking... it was a show.

Amen to that. Kind of pissed me off to tell the truth (and others from what I was hearing from the drivers seat), but I guarantee it was a good show...

wideopen the whole time! i dont think there was a variable speed pedal in that rig, just a toggle switch

OH,so he was one of those that was there to make a statement, looks like he succeded.Reckon he felt kinda stupid while he was standin there lookin at the carnage???

He made a statement allright. He almost ran over Novacayn's wife. Stoped to ask her directions back to the pits. Then took off before she had time to move.

Just about everybody was hitting that hill climb way too hard. I was amazed that they were having such a hard time getting up it. If old boy would have stayed out of the pedal and drove a line, he probably could have won the race. He did however put on a helluva good show. I guess that since this is a racing series, there is an expectation of speed, but to win you need to adapt to every track you run. There is definitely a technical side to offroading and I think a few of the big boys that think high hp will get them through every obstacle need to learn how to drive. Dee Mallory and a couple of others made that hill look easy. I heard a lot of complaing about how hard the track was but for C Class, the only obstacle that should have been deleted was the bottom of "tank trap". That definitely turned into a sink hole. All in all I was amazed at how much better this years race was compared to last years. I think if ECORS keeps improving at the rate that it is, we should be seeing some tv coverage in the next few years. I certainly hope so because I absolutely love this sport and would love to see it grow.:beer::beer: to everybody that raced and worked the race.

i have no problems with hard driving and wanting to win. but what he did to you was pure bullshit, first he cut the course by going thru a course marker trying to pass, second he had his right front tire spinning straight at you on the rev limited and you were probably only 3 feet away. he could have sent a basketball sized rock right in to your face and with you belted in, you were trapped and could not have dodged it. racing hard is onething but endangering somebody like that is bullshit!!!

congrats on the win!

I agree, although if he had of stayed on course and passed me and done the same thing I may have not been happy, but it would have been 'just racing' then. I really didn't care so much he cut course cause I have done the same thing before, but slinging dirt/rocks all over me was uncalled for.

You were the guy parked beside me in the pits, red trailer, bald krawlers, and blew a motor right? Nice meeting you, thanks for you and your wife for putting up with Sarge.

OK all, we know all about most of these incidents and either have addressed them or will for the next race.

I was there at 6 when 747 got passed. Michael was getting covered in mud and I saw him back up out of the way. Had 147 not broke the tape it would all be part of racing. But, 147 broke tape where spectators were to get around 747.

For the future we will remind everyone again that we all know its racing but the safety of everyone is paramount.
