Just thought I'd throw up some pics of what is replacing the 242 in the ZJ. Just a D300 out of a 82 (i think) CJ, with a custom flip kit, and some :gay: duke colored paint. It uses stock shifter rails. I am going to have to come up with something to use for shifters. I'd rather make my own out of a couple pieces of flat stock than spend $$$ on Currie sticks. Anyone got any bright ideas?

Looks good......you may need the seal spacer if it is going into an auto tranny.....

Just a thought.

haven't heard of this.

there are 2 seals at the tranny/tcase junction, one on each. Will they not provide enough seal?

The auto takes a longer input from tcase to transmission. V8 also uses a longer input. When you take the 242 off, make sure that the inputs match up.....

You can get a cheap set of twin stick levers off of EBay. They will still require some fab to make them work with your setup.

Looks good, man. Just make sure that beast is sealed up good with high quality RTV. I'll only use "The Right Stuff" from now on. Ask me how I know...

That case looks awesome, wish I would have went that route before I bought a 4-1 kit for my 231. I'd love to have frt only
