Flipping 9" backing plates for better E-brake?

I had a brainstorm trying to figure out how to keep my emergency brake but re-route the cable from the bottom to the top so they aren't rock lasso's. Why could I not just flip the backing plates so the cable is at the top? Besides brake line routing, I can't think of a single issue?
Anyone done this? Or is there something I'm missing that makes this impossible?

brake cylinders will be upside down and won't bleed. Cables will have to be custom extra long cause they'll come in from the back. Automatic adjusters will have to be turned around and maybe re-engineered. and now instead of an ebrake cable hitting rocks it will be your hard brake line or your bleeder screw. But other than that I don't see any problems.

E-brake cable will actually be even shorter if you flip from side-to-side to keep it in front / top.

Banging Bleeder screws - Might very well be the hang up to this modification as far as I can tell! (Good catch!)

Bleeding - that might be a small problem but I think they could be gotten good enough. The fronts do most the braking anyways right?

Adjusters will be on top - why would that matter? Everything is under tension with springs. Gravity plays no role in rear brake systems as far as I can tell?

I believe I'm going to give this a shot this weekend and see what happens...
