What do you guys use for flood lighting around the house. I'm looking for something to light up around the house better than the existing fixtures I have. I'm currently trying a double 150w halogen fixture on one corner but it isn't any better than the others.

I couldn't keep halogens more than a week before they kept burning out. The bulbs kept busting out the lense and it wasn't too long before they were burned out or busted.

Switched the fixtures to LED flood lights and they have been good for a while now. Very pleased. They aren't as low profile as the halogens, but they provide light when needed.

I replaced my halogens with LEDs and am not terribly happy with them. I did it because they were high up and I was tired of climbing the ladder the replace the bulbs. It lights up the yard still, but doesn't wash with light nearly as well as the other one did. I actually moved the halogen fixture to the workshop in the back, pointing at the LED one and basically the LED one just lets me see I'm not stepping in dog poo for long enough the halogens to light and then I can walk all the way out to the shop.

I put up some LEDs on my dads house last year, they are bright as hell and small too. I plan on doing the same soon but have to run wiring first.
