Flooding in Charlotte is on CNN!

I work on Tyvola and 77, We had a friggin' monsoon over here.
My wife works uptown at Wells/Wachovia, She said at the Embassey Suites uptown the roof caved in and was flooding the lobby. Closest thing to excitement we have had around here since that last goat rape in Belmont!

Yea it was pretty bad out there. I had to take one of my tech to the airport and I went through a couple of flooded areas that were close to hitting the top of my 40's so there was some deep water out there.

Saw one car off of 85 that the water was half way up the windows. Crazy Crap!!!

Mount Holly Flooded

Knocked out of work, due to rain. Got home in the middle of Flood. Gutters running over, but not stopped up. Which meant water would be creeping into my basement. Shop vaced up 30 gal.,& not happy. Got e-mail about downtown/ 1/4 mi. from me.
Walked down to see, a low area with 5-6 businesses, not only flooded with 5' water, but the RR tracks cross the road, had a wash out, covering the street & sidewalk with 4-6" of dirt & stone. Three cars flooded, damaged, 1 floated. My basement is not SOO bad!

I just got back from Charlotte. Moorehead and Freedom was flooded. Had to be 10 feet deep or better to where I saw it. Saw cars all over the place in the mud ont eh side of the road. I am not brave enough to venture out in my field. it always looks solid but it is like soup after it rains. I got my buddy's 4wd tractor stuck down there once and had to push it out with the bucket.
