Floydfest....

I went last year. Slept on the hill side in a field of poison oak with the other dirty hippies. My defense...I got there at midnight on friday and my buddy "had this awesome spot picked out for us!" Yeah...it was awesome cause everybody else walked passed it in the daylight...:shaking:

I'm going to try and be there again. Too early to tell though.


It was ball's hot last year though.

Take a small rain fly you can pitch up and down real quick for some shade during the less active day time shows. At night...well...you should be dancing under the influence of something at that point...

Keep a half a bar of soap in your pocket for the chance that you might walk past the shower stalls and there not be 100 people standing in line. Take it when you can get it if you want one.

I'm listenin' to Toubab Krewe right now... under the influence of paint fumes.
 
Almost forgot the most important advice...


Pack your case(s) of beer in your luggage. I can't remember if you can't take in coolers at all or if they were just taking out the beer.

They don't want alcoholic beverages out of the 'beer garden' tent thing where they check your I.D. and give you a wrist band. Bring tons of coozies so you can pack a beer bag as you stroll around during the day. Keep them coozed and the staff won't confiscate your goods usually. Only got 'em swiped a couple of times over the weekend when we got careless with our naked cans.

Or you can go sit in the beer tent with the old people and pay for the 'fancy' brews while listening to the filler performers on the little stage.


Or you might not partake...



All this assuming you're gonna camp out in the trees...you might have an RV...? Although I think I heard all the RV spots were sold out.

We may have a non-drinker with us:eek: so I'm going to be looking into getting a place to stay outside the place.
There are few things I hate worse than waking up when the sun comes up, hungover on 2hrs sleep in a 100 degree tent ......somehow I still mangage to do it once or twice a year:rolleyes:

You (someone in your group) driving back and forth? Shuttle to the parking lot stopped at midnight last year.

Yes, and its saying the shuttles will be running til 2am, I've "slept" in an open field before, we're gonna party like always and what happens, happens:lol:
