I'm curious what percentage of people on here get the Flu shot.

My wife's work requires all employees to get the flu shot, so she gets it every year. She takes our son to get it every year too. I think I have only gotten it once in the past 35-40 years.

Normally every year as mandated. This year I'm not sure. Probably won't uness I have to go back into healthcare.

I've had it every year, since it came out. Never had any reaction, & can't remember when if ever, I've had the flu, since taking the shot. Just my personal opinion, I feel I've had less colds or other viruses, by taking the flu shot. I Know, a lot of folk say it Gave them the flu, but Science says that's impossible. It's made from a dead virus. If you got sick, you were infected Before the shot. And too, like all the vaccines, it takes Time, for it to build immunity.

I just stared the yearly thing. Blue Cross, my wife's employer, gives us a discount on health insurance to get it.

Off and on, I get it when / if I think about it, but often forget until its well into winter and pointless. I'm one of those guys that rarely gets sick so it just doesn't come to mind much.
They always set up a space at the health clinic on post so anybody can come by.
I think people would be a lot more motivated if the average success rate on it were higher. Really sucks for those epidemiologists, its a calculated guessing game on this and they are about the same success rate as weather forecasters

So my wife gets the flu shot every year because she is in the dental field and occasionally has to work at the OR. She got her flu shot last Tuesday. Wednesday she starting feeling sick, into Thursday, and finally on Friday, she ended up at the E.R because she felt bad and was having trouble breathing. Doctors tested her for Covid and it came back negative(She also had a covid test on Wednesday for work) and they told her that she likely had a response to the flu shot that she had on Tuesday....

My wife will feel 'sick' after the flu shot about 25-50% of the time. Never as bad as your wife got though.

When I was traveling a ton for work I would get it, not so much now. I'm indifferent on it, more of a "oh cool it's free at work today, I'll stop by", never had any reactions or gotten sick from it either.

I got it last year for the first time along with three other vaccines, so no way to tell which one made me feel like crap lol. Pretty sure I'll get it again this year when I get my final round of the others.

Can't remember, might have said go for it while actively at a check up, but I've never intentionally gone out and gotten one.
