ive joined the ipod cult now and need a FM transmitter for the wrangler. my buddy has one that you plug into the cigarette lighter that the ipod sits in but it gets in the way of the shifter. anybody have a suggestion of one that works well in a wrangler. i saw on quadratrecs website that they sell one but dont know how well it works

you can get what I got. It's a monster brand charger and also FM Transmitter. Plugs into the cig lighter of your car and transmitts on a selectable FM frequency and also charges the iPod simultaneously. It's a one-piece deal, the pic can be deceiving. You'd still have to find a place to put the iPod though. It's been working great for me.

I have the iTrip plug in for the mini. it works ok. its not that strong of a transmitter, but thats only for trips not in my car. I have a line in on my reciever, and thats the way to go..

Yeah, the reason why I didn't go with the iTrip is b/c it only runs off of the iPod battery, which means not as much power, and less operating time unless you get a seperate charger. The direct line-in is def. the best way to go, but as far as FM transmitters, the Monster one is the best deal for the money, IMHO.

I've tried three brands, mainly cause I lost two. One off name one sucked. The Belkin worked good. Lost it somehow. And a white one, I can't remember the name of, worked good. But they all kinda sucked. I tried a cassette adapter too, it worked best, until it crapped out! The next stereo I get will have either an aux-mini jack input, or a SD/CF card for MP3's. I use a Dell Axim.
