Someone took all time back in day to invent the piano, which might have been viewed the the same level of eccentricity during the time. Its got the complexity of an old clock IMHO.

Just to dream it up on paper is impressive let alone execute the plan.

Sort of... the piano evolved from other instruments over time (dulcimer etc), earlier variants were not nearly so complex.

But regardless this guy's sense of ingenuity and commitment are astounding.

Here's what I always wonder. After spending so much time and effort dedicated to a major project like this... what does it feel like when it's over? Got to be strange.

Similar to the fabricators who finish a new kick ass buggy project, only to sell it before really driving it so they can start all over with an even crazier idea. I would imagine....
