Ford 9 inch axle bearing

I need to replace axle bearings and seals on my 9inch wats the difference in the big bearing and small bearing how do I tell what I have any pics would help to thanks

AFAIK, if it came out of a truck or van, its big bearing.

OK so I got my axle out and got the part number from it to get new bearings got the new one but it doesn't look the same as the old on has the same number as the old bearing but also say's a20 my old one was tapered and slid into the race in the axle housing the new one doesn't seem to come apart is the old one suppose to or is it just that worn out

you have a big bearing 9" with a set 20/ a20 bearing. The new bearing you have pictured is correct. The race will separate from the bearing (most likely while you are pressing the new one on) It is a tight fit when new.

I had the same head scratching question when I replaced my axle seals along with the wheel bearings, glad u got it figured out!
