Ford 9 w/ 8.8 disc brakes??

I have a Ford 9in with drums that I wanna go disc brakes on, I have heard that entire brake setup from an 8.8 will basically bolt right on, any truth in this? plus....

If it is a direct fit which 8.8s had the e-brake made into the caliper and not a separate smaller drum strictly for the e-brake inside the disc, I think the mustangs had this setup, any others?? Looking for a cheap setup here

From what I've read it depends on what style ends the 9" has on it. Just a lil research I found on google. Maybe somebody will chime in who knows more than google.

After looking at the chart it doesn't look good for no mods. I'm sure you could modify the 8.8 backing plate to bolt up.

I have not done it, but I have had all the parts in-hand at one time. The 9" was off a late 70's pickup, which is the same big-bearing housing. It is not a direct swap.
