What do you think is the best method to fix this?

I had that happen on my dodge. The first time, I bought some super flexible wire and replaced the wires in the wiring harness. When it happened to a second door, I decided to just buy a new wiring harness online.

Buy a new door harness or get one from a junk yard. They plug in right under the dash or by the kick panel.

Good to know. Wonder if there were improvements and if I should look for a specific year at the boneyard? Don’t want to end up with the same problem.

At work I add about 5 or 6" of wire. Splice and heat shrink but have new wire in the jam. The old wire and splices get pushed through into the door or a pillar.
