Dealer replaced the drivers cv axle on the 2010 Escape because of the known problem w the inboard seal leaking. It's been fine for months no leaking, steers fine, tires are fine, runs straight w hand off wheel etc. but I have not driven it much. I drove it recently and heard some knocking noises in the left front w bumps and sawing the wheel @ speeds till about 20/25. It will also knock w me push/pulling sideways on the front fenders while parked. Anyone know what is causing it ? I suspect it's a bushing in the A arm ?

Without seeing it I'd guess it's a sway bar end link. You'll need to jack it up and start shaking stuff.

Pop singularly or repetitive? Does it do it coming to a stop and then when taking back off? How did you go about removing the cv? Did you separate the LCA from the knuckle at the ball joint? If you did, did you use a pickle fork or a press style removal tool?

One similar to this..

If you used a pickle fork, my money is that the LBJ is loosened up in it's socket, as the fork tends to press against the socket instead of properly placing the removal force entirely against/between the knuckle & stud.

Also assuming there was no popping before the service performed.
