Don't know where to put this, but I have a 2002 f150 and the handle/arm that lowers the spare tire is missing from under the hood.

I plan to source this somehow, starting at the junkyard. Can someone provide some pics of the piece that lowers the spare tire?....specifically the end that goes into the vehicle? Maybe I can find something similar that works. Does anyone know if that peice was used throughout that body style?

so i got a piece from the junkyard that I thought would work, but it doesn't. Anyone have a 1997-2003 f150 that they can share a pic of the jack handle?

The end of that looks identical to the one on my explorer sport trac.

Thanks...i've got one that came out of an older body style Ford....93 or 94.....the end looks very similar but would not work.

I'll investigate further.

Your truck my have a spare tire lock on it. It resembles a locking lug nut. There's a video on YouTube showing how to get the lock out of the winch if you don't have the key. Apparently ford doesn't make them anymore. After you get the lock out the handle shown will work.

Thank you so much for that little tip....that seems to be my problem. I watched the youtube vid...and now I'm off to see if I have the key.

I'd like to meet that engineer that designed that.
