Ford MX Cruise O matic to C6 or manual?

Just getting ideas. The swap is nothing new. My 1967 f250 2wd has a mega leaky Cruise o matic. Heavily considering ripping it out and putting a c6. My main concern is finding someone to rebuild a core I can find. Any advise? Or should I scrap the whole idea and find a donor 4wd. Figured someone else has probably been in this situation.

truck does have a 352 so I would have to locate a FE style bell housing C6

Fritts Performance Transmission in KY did my C6 and I'm very happy. They handled shipping back and forth as well as dyno tested prior to shipping

FMX transmission from 70’s vintage is what dad replaced his Ford-O-matic. Not sure if the similarities but the FMX is a beast of a 3 spd auto….
