Ford taurus fan as a pusher.

Anyone running a taurus fan as a pusher? If so does it work as well as a puller? Going in a jeep wranglrer.
I'm running them as pullers in 2 different vehicles (my brothers CJ will be the 3rd)... never heard of anyone using them as pushers.

Lincoln (1" larger than std. Taurus, but NOT "Mk7/8") fan in the Mustang... wired using 3 GM relays (x1 - Low speed & x2 High speed) on with ignition & manual High (using rear defroster switch)

Regular Taurus fan in the Jeep...wired using 3 GM relays (x1 - Low speed & x2 High speed) both speeds manual using OEM Commando blower switch

Both were HUGE improvements over those @#$%! noisy, inefficient flexfans! Only issue is forgetting to turn the fan ON after cranking back up on the trail... Will likely add temp switches to control low speed on both

Yeah I have it as a puller now in the jeep, I'm just wondering if anyone ever used it as a pusher. I'm looking to get a bigger radiator and I may need the room thats in between the motor and the fan so the radiator will fit. Other than that, I love the fact it'll suck a tshirt off the winch from in front of the grill.

General rule of thumb when I used to design cooling systems was a pusher fan is 10-15% less efficient than the same fan as a puller.

Thats great information. I was just trying to think of a way to grab a little more space in the engine compartment. So if I can I'll leave it as a puller. Thanks.
