Ok HEADS UP!!! Neighbor lady found this lil guy wondering around our neighborhood. She was going to take him to the pound, but I told her I would take him and try to find his owner. I'm going to put up some flyers around the neighborhood and at a couple vet offices. If I don't find his owner I need to find him a home. He is a full grown min-pin and has been neutered. He has full ears and cropped tail. I don't know if he's house trained yet. Lots of energy and very loving. If anyone has any interest let me know.

Man good luck finding his owners, he's a good looking pup!! Oh and what's in that jar in your new avatar???

Take him with you to the vet and get them to scan him for a chip.

Check facebook too -- I don't bother with it, but my wife does...occasionally sees a lost dog message circulate among the locals.

If all else fails you have a new best friend... Good luck with the search and thank you for your concern as a pet owner it's nice to know there are others out there that will still try and find an owner or new home and not just send to the pound. So  to you sir.

Yeah that wasnt happening! Never have and never will take an animal to the pound. The wife won't even get near it b/c she doesnt wanna get attached. Im taking it to the vet tomorrow or Sat to have it scanned. Putting up flyers tomorrow too... but like said, if nothing else I got a new friend.

Just got back from the vet, he's not chipped. They seem to think he's probably around 1-2 years old. Has adult teeth but still has alot of puppy features. I put out flyers today on every stop sign within a 2 mile radius of our house. Contacted animal control and humane society of both York and Lancaster counties. So I've done about all I can do. If no one steps up by Tues or Weds of next week, Im going to give him to the first person I feel would give him a good home. If anyone is seriously interested I would meet you halfway.

Keep me updated on its housebroken status if you don't find its owner. The last of our dogs passed last year and the kids are strongly hinting about a new one.
I probably shouldn't have torn down the fence.....

He has pooped and peed in the house, but that doesnt mean he's not house trained. Could just be because he's in a new environment. He wouldnt be hard to train because he is so young

Give it a couple of days and I truly hope you find the owner, if you still have him next week I'd be interested.

No way that dog's not a lost pet.........If it was a stray for a week or more it's ears would be chewed/burnt up by briars, ticks, deerflys etc. or it would be dead/buzzard pickins..................my guess is it was chased miles from it's home by some damn Coyotes that couldn't catch him and that would make him a little badass dog. I would keep him

From what I read yesterday they are know for taking off after rabbits, squirrels or blowing leaves at the slightest opportunity if not on a leash. He probably slipped out a door or over/under a fence. Like you said, hopefully there aren't kids out there missing their dog.
For anyone interested in giving him a good home who doesn't get him check out minpinrescue.org. Looks like they have a bunch needing homes in both NC and SC.

He's definitely been out for a few days. He was pretty thirsty and skinny when we found him. He also has some bumps and bites all over him. I asked the vet if it was mange, they said "they didnt think so" but they would have to run test to be sure. So for anyone that does get him be fore warned he needs a vet trip, as with any new dog you'd aquire. I dont think it is because he still had a clean smell like he'd had a bath recently. I would keep him, but we already have 3 dogs of our own. 2- 90+ lb mix breeds and a beagle. Just want the lil fella to have a good home. If need be that will be here, but would like to give others an opportunity too.....
