Found my new bank

not bad, 3.10% in the money market acct. My CU is 1.47%, and only if you keep $50k!
edit: you have to use the VISA checkcard 10x per month

ING Direct Orange money market accounts were at 5.5% last time I moved money in (2 weeks b4 Christmas)

might keep your wife from whipping out the ol' charge card so much at the mall.

why does anyone use a checkcard, its a direct pipeline to your checking account. Lose it, someone can drain all your funds. Use a credit card, you're only liable for the first $50.

use your check card and tell the cashier CREDIT...it has all the protections of a credit card nd if wiped out VISA will put your money back in 24 hours and cover any over limit fees....all without the hassle of a credit card company

X2. My wife works at the bank and tells everyone to use the credit option.

but to go with Tony's question, are you going to tell the thief to be sure to use the Credit option? :D

Um - he'd be an idiot NOT to do it as credit.

If he chose the DEBIT option, he'd need a PIN NUMBER.
oops, he won't have that, now will he...

When patroning small businesses, I always run as debit - that way the fees are lower for them.
When at big places, I do credit, let them take the hit instead of my credit union. I figure Karma balances it all out in the end.
