YJ Frame advice

OK I need some advice on what to do about my frame, the PO welded a 15" extention onto the frame. Either I can cut it off and weld on a support or swap everything over to the extra frame that I got.
Here are some pictures showing what I have and what I am thinking about doing.
I want to go from this:

To this:

The old frame has everything on it already, the winch mount, outboarded front springs, shock towers, etc. The new frame I would have to move everything over. But I will be using XJ leafs and moving the front 5"-7" forward.
What do you guys think?

What is your goal? Do you want to get rid of the overhang in the rear? I dont think it would be worth the trouble of having the xjs bend all the time. I know this jeep and it has chevy springs in the rear now, they have done great without bending and it hooks pretty well. I will agree im not crazy how it looks, but it does work and works well. I have wheeled with this rig several times to tellico and local trails and it worked just fine. However i would take that body lift and throw it in the trash!

jeepn-jason I want to take the over hang off and also put Dodge Dakota springs on. I will be running XJ springs in the front. I XJ will give me about 5" stretch in the front and the Dakota springs will give me 10" stretch in the rear. I will be putting a NP231/D300 crawl box into it as well. I will also be running HPD60/14 Bolt and 42" or 44" tires. The body lift is fine, it will help to clock the D300 flat to were I don't have to cut up the floor. With the spring combo I want to use it will bring the YJ down some. The main thing I am trying to get advice on is which will be easier. Swap everything over or modify the exciting frame. The YJ will see 90% trail life in URE and Tellico. It will also have full hydralic steering as well.

I def. agree with gettin rid of the overhang. Just mount the springs to your fixed mount hold in place to see how far back they come and lop off the excess. Did you get this thing running any better? Eric had issues for a bit, but he never worked on it. Im sure the optispark was fawked.
