This is a couple that I know. I can say that the guy works a long week. and even pushed 2 jobs for a while to provide for his family. Notice the lady in the photos, this is his wife. knowing only that about them. What thoughts can you offer. oh and Claudia is their Daughter.

call me stupid if you'd like, but I don't get it. haha. I will say this though...although I think it's a bit ridiculous for the government to force everybody to have coverage, at the same time, it's very helpful. when my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer, just the lab work alone for one biopsy was $4000. that doesn't include the operations, chemo, scans, etc etc etc. her insurance paid for everything (except the deductible of course, which I THINK was just a few hundred dollars). while I feel everybody SHOULD have coverage, simply put, not everybody can afford it. those that have it through their employer should hang on to that. now, for me, I have free healthcare through the VA (for the next 5 years anyway, until they do an assessment to see if it will continue to be free), but I have no insurance coverage on the ol' lady at the moment. luckily she's healthy, and I hope and pray nothing happens to her in the near future while she has no coverage. as for the folks mentioned above, I'm glad everything worked out in their favor, and I hope their daughter makes a full recovery from whatever was wrong.

if I've just made a complete idiot of myself, please excuse me whilst I go bang my head on the wall. :handed:

Taking a totally different approach - I just dont understand why people feel they need to publish stuff like that on the internet. Why not just say "the surgery went well we are so happy she's ok thank you for your prayers?" That is what people like to call a "humble brag"

I wonder if UPS cuts his hours, making him ineligible for health insurance, will they happily post about that too.

Oh, never mind, he's probably union...

I'm not religious by any means. I have never really gone to church, and I don't really get the whole thing...so maybe this is just totally wrong but...

I think he's got it backwards. God didn't give him the heath insurance to afford his daughters surgery...he did through selfless actions and hard work with a good company . God provided his daughter with whatever disease or ailment she had that required the surgery. He should be proud of himself and thanking God because he gave their family the opportunity to bond and reflect on their own mortality.

lol package loader...glad everything worked out

That's one thing that I had to shake my head at. Not that he's a package loader, but that she is so demeaning by the way she says it. but maybe that's just my point of view in seeing how she treats him. that was part of my reason for posting it. to see if it was just my preconceived opinion on their relationship.

When I worked at lowes worked with a guy that was a loader he worked less hours loading then he did at lowes and made more money working for ups. Said all and all it was decent pay with good benefits
