Free Dog to Good Home

I have to agree, many years ago dating a girl in college....roommate had a Bull Mastive the same size if not bigger. It was almost incredible to beleive the size. Very Very Sweet dog

I own a bullmastiff and have had several over the years. Per the AKC standard:

"Size--Dogs, 25 to 27 inches at the withers, and 110 to 130 pounds weight. Bitches, 24 to 26 inches at the withers, and 100 to 120 pounds weight. Other things being equal, the more substantial dog within these limits is favored. Proportion--The length from tip of breastbone to rear of thigh exceeds the height from withers to ground only slightly, resulting in a nearly square appearance."

Bullmastiffs are actually one of the smaller mastiff breeds, as they were created by breeding Mastiffs with bulldogs, thus the name. I have on the other hand had an English Mastiff that was in excess of 200 lbs. Most really big mastiffs you see are English, French, or Neopolitan mastiffs

^^I stand corrected it must have been a English...very huge, unbelievable...I could put both fists in his mouth while playing

would you like to see a blow up of that area? from the crappy resolution, you can't honestly determine that.
Sure they do, again, you want a blow up with a measurement ;)
take another look, adjust the contrast, you can even see his nuts hanging over the step.
If this is a chop, it took a good chunk of time to get teh shading and masking correct. the Horse dog is piss poor.

The angles dont even line up...
The dog was originally shot from above hence the head is closer to the lens than the body and appears larger. The woman on the other hand was shit from a 90, that why I think she is the original and the dog with hand is chopped in.

You like APS that much do this, take the measuremnt of the step then extrapolate that to dog size. Then take a brief look at some AKC records....the math should reveal a dog somewhere around 73-77 inches at the withers...
Im sorry, we will just have to agree to disagree, but

I think your math is off a little, but none the less, If we're going by AKC then My Boxer shouldn't exist. 100lbs and solid and just walked outside and measured him at 27" at the withers. Suffice it to say that it is possible for extraordinarily large animals to exist.

Ain't it great?

I guess my point is more in What it takes to Chop something, the signature tell tale signs of a chopped image, and what happens to digital files that are sized, re-saved, compressed, etc.... I don't see this being chopped, if it is, someone went to some SERIOUS effort and time to make that little joke photo.

This could make for a fun thread: I gather and create images and do a "Chopped or not Chopped"

WOW.....I dont know much about Measuring withers, but I saw a big dog one time.(English Mastiff) My lab is pretty big too, but I dont know what his wither measures........

Accoding to my math, and it MAY be wrong Im not perfect, that dogs back would stand just ove 6' when he is on all 4s.....
Ill take him for a ride
