front 10b locking nut

does any one know if there is a washer ( some forom or fashion ) between the locking nut and bearing ? chevy 10bolt front axle

bearing, washer,lock nut ,lockwasher ,locknut OR


bearing, locknut ,lockwasher , locknut

peicing an axle together ?

Not specifically on a 10 bolt, but I've seen axles both ways. When I bought spindle nut kits for my D60, they did not come with the washer to go between the bearing race and nut.

IIRC when we did a chevy d44 it didnt have a washer under the 1st locknut... it just went bearing, locknut, lock washer, locknut

This is the correct way.

found out that the spindle nuts/washer off of a 73 d30drum brakes work on a 10 bolt

Mostly in part that the 30,44, and 10 bolt use a lot of the same components from the spindles out.
