Front end issues...need advice plz

[R Q]

On the passenger side steering knuckle on my Jeepster where the tie rod end that is on the drag link connects to the knuckle, it is wallowed out. The TRE is loose in the hole and goes in too deep on the tapered part of the TRE. The TRE goes in from the top. I think that originally it went in the bottom and the hole on the knuckle was reamed from the top for the crossover steering.
What is the best way to correct this issue?
Its on a Dana 44 front axle.

If the taper and dimensions are correct, this would work. I'm sure someone sells a tapered sleeve that you could install.

I had totally forgot about Sheldon and his parts. I've used these before and they're great.

If the knuckle is to far gone for Shedon's insert I can custom machine you one. Jeep factory D44 knuckles the TRE does go in from the top, GM D44's from the bottom IIRC.
