Ok i have a 1990 Pathfinder 4x4 and i just had to replace my transmission..

Transmission is in and works perfect, only problem is that the front end is a hell of alot lower than it was before.

I had to take out teh torsion bars to replace the tranny so i think that has somethig to do with it..

Any advice on how to fix it?

Thanks,

Joey

dumb question but did you put them back in? and crank them to where they were before?
i'd say thats definitely your problem. crank them up some.

alright, that problem is fixed. new problem...

i had to remove the exhaust to remove the transmission, but when i put the exhaust back in, it is not sealed all the way for some reason, so it sounds liek a lawnmower and there are fumes coming into teh car cab

Ok, did all that and it came out good. But i drove it for the first time today and after about an hour of driving, the front drivers side dropped down again, and came crashing down on the wheel..

any ideas??

yup, well on teh other side of the torsion, in the front of the car, there is a big stud that goes from the bar through the arm. It is stripped pretty badly and the but was off. Cannot get the nut back on it, so now i have to replace it. Any ideas on how to replace this stud? Would i just take out the 5 or 6 bolts on the arm near the torsion bar? Or what?

Thanks

Take it to someone that knows what they are doing before you hurt yourself or someone else out on the road
