front end shimmy/shake

03 wrangler rubicon, 41/2" rubicon short arm lift, 33" tires
acts fint at highway speeds, however small bump in road causes violent side to side movement until I slow down. Just bought the jeep, what to do

Do some searches on "death wobble" here, pirate4x4, jeepsunlimited, where ever.

You'll see fixes range from fixing loose trackbars, tire balancing, alignment, to changing your blinker fluid.

Bottom line is that there are lots of potential root causes.

as the above poster said...there are endless possibilities for death wobble...

first thing I'd do is try the "free" fixes...tighten the trackbar (loose lower bolt was the cause for mine), make sure the control arms are tight...and a visual inspection to make sure nothing is obviously bent...

control arm bushings could be a culprit, but hopefully an '03 doesn't have that issue...alignment would probably be next on my list...
