Front HP D44

an EB(earily bronco) with disc brakes....it would be the 5 on 5.5 lug pattern

The closest you can get with minimal fabbing is to use the full width ford HP44s and cut down the tubes to run Waggy 44 inner shafts. That'll get you close to 8.8 width. Get even closer if you run a set of 1" spacers in the rear.
 
ditch the 8.8 and run a waggy front and 6 lug rear
 
Is everyone here overlooking just getting a full width 8.8?

He didn't specifically say he didn't want that. Unless his question was more of a hp44 the same width as a YJ, in which case this doesn't matter.
 
I think a rubicon 44 front would be really close.
 
Depending on tire size you are better off staying with the D30 or going to a D60 IMHO.
