Yeah I know exactly where that is, Mott Lake, No mud there at all, nothing but water and sand, Very hard to push through some of that shit out there. Some hill climbs too. Me and some friends stopped going there when we found out about the other side of bragg, around Gravel Pit Road, longer drive for us but well worth it. Speaking of that, New Thread.

Is it legal to wheel on Ft Bragg?
I don't know, and this is why I'm asking...

There are a bunch of trails around Bragg that aren't past the security checkpoints. I was told by a local that we are allowed to be there and there are areas marked off that you're not allowed to go in...

Yeah, There are alot of trails out there, I ride them all the time. But keep in mind that it is real easy to run across FTX sites(They usually don't care, just turn around and find another trail lol) and blackout zones. So if you happen to end up on what looks like a dirt road instead of a trail, just keep to the side until you find another trail to turn on, because you could have a 3 ton truck carrying troops on your ass and you wouldn't even know. I know one time I started at mott lake and ended up at camp mckall once. Fun times

Sounds like you know a lot about the area... I've only been there once with my Jeep and once with a Chevy Silverado... I only know a little about the trails around Mott but I'd like to see more of the area... hit me up the next ride you set up... Golf tourney starts at 11:30 and probably wouldn't end 'til around 6:30 or so, so Oct. 3 is out for me.

Well yeah I'm in the army so it's pretty easy to know what goes on out there, where you can go and where you can't go, technically you are not supposed to be any further than a mile away from any lake, pond, or river but they really don't care that much as long as you don't interfere with any training. But really, chevy impala vs. built offroading machine:Rockon:. Tons of woods and trails to get lost in. lol

We'll be doing lunch out there (burgers and dogs) so if you want to go let us know. That way we can make sure we have enough food... Also, we are bringing our other halves. We have 5 of us plus our wives or girlfriends and 2 others that might come...
