Fuel cell leak

The Loctite rep said that their PTFE liquid thread sealant is fuel-proof. You just have to make doubly sure that the threads are clean and dry before application, and that you let it cure completely before using. Haven't tried it yet, just learned this yesterday.
 
did you snug up the nut on the inside of the cell?

Is the leak bad enough to see the fuel, or are you just smelling it?

I can see the fuel seeping out. I'll take a pic this afternoon. I'll also check the nut inside. Thanks Rich!
 
last one of those i bought leaked until i checked the nut inside.... never even thought about that until someone suggested it to me and sure enough i snugged it up and no more leaks.....

my friend tried the same thing and had worse luck though.... he wound up draining the cell, letting it dry, and using some osrt of thread sealant such as that mentioned above to keep his from leaking....
 
Tightening the nuts on the inside seems to have stopped the leaks. Thanks for the ideas.
