Is the use of a fuel cell legal for on highway use? I am about to get the loose ends together and try to tag my rig. I could conceal the thing but for many reasons I would rather have it visible.

Much thanks...

yes they are street legal but I beleive you have to run a baffle and a special valve in case of roll-over.

And all the emission stuff on your tank now.

not legal due to not having an unleaded gas restrictor in the fill. All it is is the little pipe that allows the gas pump to fit tightly in the fill tube. it is suppose to prevent the use of larger diameter pumps used when leaded gas was available. If you fail for this then you have to have your cat replaced and restrictor replaced before reinspecting, Supossivle the old lead gas would leave lead deposits in your cat and screw up emissions. Just keep your old fill tub and cap in place so it looks like it is functional or befriend a state inspector.

that is right although this is a law that needs to be updated. not really seeing leaded gas avail anywhere nowdays.

never had an issue either.
