My buddy told me bout this site and said it was very useful and informative. Well i got a 1997 jeep grand cherokee that was wreaked on the front right. i am rebuilding it, i was wonderig if their is a fuel cut off switch or relay or anything that cuts the fuel pump from working if it was wreacked.

Not a jeep guy but have you checked all fuses?

Depending how hard it was wrecked, It could have broke the fuel pump in the tank. There is a plug in the rear just before the tank, You can unplug it and check to see if there is power going to it.

I don't think that there is a shut off switch on that model (I might be wrong). I would start looking for a fuse, then power at the pump, then pressure on the rail, then a crimped line of cut wire.

If it was hit in the right front the ECU is on the firewall in the engine compartment on the right front and possibly could've taken enough of an impact to damage it internally. I would try jumping the fuel pump relay under the hood and see if you get anything. You can do it with the key off, it has power at all times. Also check the relay itself. X2 on the plug at the pump[ as well.
