fuel tank re-location

Ready to relocate the tank in my 72 to the bed. Dont really wanna fork out the money on a brand new fuel cell.

I was thinkin about puttin in under my tool box and runnin the filler up behind the toolbox. That would require a tank that isnt too deep.

or

going with a kinda of factory setup between the frame rails in the back.

any suggestions on cars with a tank for the under the box idea???? I know just about anything will work for the other.


and while we are on the topic. . .
I like the keg gas tank but deff need to beable to have more capacity. How would you go about connecting 2-3 kegs?
I think 3 would fit side beside and i'd be willing to loose my toolbox if I can make it happen.

i dunno that you could make 3 kegs work. not without going beyond the price of a new fuel cell. unless you can heliarc (arent kegs aluminum?). Getting them to drain correctly to the pick up tube would be a pain. if you dont get that right, you'll just end up with trash and old fuel in the bottoms of the tanks.


stacking them one on top of the next on their sides might work. but it wouldnt look good.
