I'm looking for a tank (preferably something OEM) that's long and skinny. Needs to be less than 15" wide, less than about 12" tall, and ideally somewhere around 15-20 gallons, with the filler tube on the skinny end. If it's a pinch weld steel tank, it can be a little wider than that, b/c I have room lower down where the pinch weld could be 19-20" wide, so long as the body was 15-16" or less.

Any suggestions? CJ/YJ/TJ tanks look like they're really close, but likely more like 17" overall. Toy minitruck might work. The filler is on the side, but it could be moved to the end.

Also, I'd entertain any WAGs about what a custom tank would cost...

There are a lot of under deck boat tanks like that and the non fancy ones cost less than a replacement heep tank...like in the sub 200 range. A company called moeller makes the ones Ive used.

Yeah, I looked at Moeller, but didn't find anything the "right" size. Either too wide or too tall, or with the filler in the wrong spot, etc.

They've got a 10x10x36ish 13 gallon that I might still use if I get desperate, but I was really hoping for something larger than that.

Is this for gas?

Thanks Paul, but that sounds expensive.

Got another lead, though. 4dr S10 Blazer tank from about 95-98ish looks nearly perfect. 48" long, 15" wide, 11" tall, with the filler mounted on one end. Now I just need to find one.
