Fuel woes

so 93 wrangler, 4.0 manual trans. no fuel at all. pump wont come on. checked all fuses, relay is good, checked pump, comes on hooked directly, check ground at tank good, unhooked up top and at filter, still nothing. pump will work when direct wired. pump is new. still nothing. before this had to switch key on and off a few times then it worked, now nothing. any help or suggestions. could ecu, or switch cause this.

Sounds like a ECU problem. When you turn the key on, do all the gauges and warning lights cycle through as they should?
I had a problem very similar to this with a 93 ZJ, and it was the computer. Very frustrating as it was intermittent at first, then it left me stranded 2hrs from home.

Dont want you to think im being a smartass ..but are you sure your not out of gas ?

Lots of gas. No warning lights or buzzer. Tried to check the codes and light will not work.

Long shot here, but there is a ground wire attached to the bolt that attaches the e brake lever to the underside of the dash. Not at the firewall, but pretty much under the drivers side dash speaker. It has a 7/16" (or 11mm) head on it.
Check that.
