I am running full hydro on my truck and have always used the synthetic blend power steering fluid. I just found out that valvoline is discontinuing that product for now. What fluid does everyone use in their systems
 
this was just discussed recently talking about PS pumps w/ hydro, every one has an opinion. My opinion is Synthetic ATF, i believe, right or wrong, it lubricates the best and can handle the heat the best.
 
I believe I opened this can-o-worms last time. A search should find it, if its an off the shelf complete set up I'd start with the manufacture for recomendations. I found everybody has run one thing or another. IMO I think most problems are from poorly designed resevoirs(? spell) and to little cooling considerations causing foamy or broken down fluid.
