Damn, you've already done everything I would have suggested to try and isolate the problem...
switching the lines means it's not your orbital, lines, pump, etc..since it originally didn't want to steer left, but with the lines switched, it won't steer to the "right" (still turning the wheels left)
Can you swap the ram front to rear, see if the problem follows?
