full hydro....single ram vs double ended ram....what are the pros and cons
 
Ive seen them both ways, for full hydro I prefer the double ended ram. The single ended ram is usually cheaper but it turns slower one way compared to the other direction and has more power pushing rather than pulling. Thats cause the piston inside the cylinder has more surface area for the fluid to work against on the side that the shaft doesnt come out of. The double ended ram is equal in power and speed in both directions.

You can orfice the fitting on the clevis side & tune it to have the same speed.
