I am going to a D44 and 9". I was wondering how much lift to fit what tires. I was thinking somewhere around +-37". I am planning on going leafs in the rear. And in the front going coils. I already have the axles and they are built with 5.13 gears, lockers, and with a wristed radius arm. I have to do a few modifications to fit my xj. I am thinking of maybe still driving it on the road some:driver: . Just want some sugestions.

I had looked at skyjacker 7.5 inch leafs, was wondering what products you have looked at using.

NAXJA

Jarrett, if your lifting an XJ with a D44 and 9", place for information is at NAXJA.org. North American XJ Association.

There are a fair number of NAXJA members in NC. NAXJA.ORG has ton's of articles on amount of lift for all size tires, types of springs, etc etc. New Advanced fabrication forum is just what you are looking for. In dept XJ discussions regarding 8+ lifts and all types of spring packs.

I will be running 35s, 6" of lift with TJ flares. 37's will require more cutting and I would expect 8" of lift. If your heavy on the gas 37s will but a fair amount of stress on a D44. Right now FarmerMatt has a forum string talking about 60 outers on a D44.

Enjoy!!!!!!!!!

I have 8" coils on front, leafs and blocks on rear. With cut fenders I clear 38's with room to spare.

Check out Ken Carter/BRUISER's XJ. He is running those axles and 38x12.50s. Not sure if he has a build thread on here, but pretty certian he does on Pirate in the Jeep section. It's a solid built, bad ass rig and would make a nice go-by.

steve, 2kflexj on here has an xj on 36 iroks...check with him, i think he's got the acos in the front then leaf and block in the rear but i could be wrong.

Thanks for all the helpfull input. I should hopefully be getting started on this project here in the next couple of months. I am going to try to have most of my stuff together before I start so my dad doesn't get to angry with me taking over the basement.
