I would call the first one a hutch type thingy, and the second one a podium looking desk, maybe a dwarf's pulpit?

2) sit down desk for neat people, who don't mind reaching around to the side to get things

First one might be a baby changing table, I'd guess the second is a child's desk, but without a measurement or visual reference, it's hard to tell.

2nd one is a schoolmaster's desk (I win). It doesn't look like an antique though.
