I was just talking to a buddy and he mentioned that Galloways down in the Salisbury area has been know to take trades on random 4x4 parts in exchange for tires. Anybody know if this is true before I load up a trailer full of parts to hock for a set of tires for the WJ? It almost sounds too good to be true.

thanks steve.

We used to trade with him alot. It really depends on what kind of mood he's in. I have been shocked, both by how little, and how much he is willing to give/take for used stuff.

Yeah Steve,
He definitely trades.,
But as mentioned it is crazy all over the place.

~3 years ago He traded me a new set of 42s

for some completely bald (BALD) 44s, a 460 aluminum intake, a set of stock k5 wheels and $100.

Then a while back my buddy brought a brand new set of BFG muds with 0 miles, and he said he would allow $100 for the tires.

I have had great luck. Go with a number in mind on all the stuff you want, and don't move from that number (if it is reasonable). I spent $800 for my 39.5's with some JUNK tossed in for a trade. He basically allowed me $400 on the stuff I had, none of it was worth anything really, I had a aftermarket (factory style) front bumper for my F-250, a grille, and 99' style headlights. Basically the frontend stuff off my truck. I had $200 in a 02' bumper, grille, and headlights/signals, so I feel the $400 he gave me was PLENTY.

I got my 38.5" SX's for $50 out of pocket.

I traded a set of 15x8 Canyons off a TJ and some 15x7 stock steelies for $400.

ive traded with him several times. always treated me more than fair.

I traded with mike, and lester, and although they aren't exactly what I wanted I got a set of 37" boggers for 17" wheel. (Closing on my first house, and paying for my wedding in the next month can realy strap a guys wallet).
