Sweet! I wonder how much that costs to produce vs. normal practices and machining...
 
3D metal printing has been around for a long time. It is a messy nasty damn process and it starts with powder metal. The downside is that in its final consistency it's not much better than pot metal if not worse. Not to mention the time it takes to 3D print.

3D printing has made leaps and bounds in progress over the past 5 years, but metal printing advancements have been at a stand still for the past 15 years.

Don't expect much to come from it anytime soon.
