I just got my first house and before I start filling up my garage with stuff I want to put one of those epoxy or whatever they are coatings down. I was looking at the Rustoleum Industrial Grade kit and it seems like a good deal for the price, about $100. Has anybody used it? Good or bad? What other similar products are out there? Not trying to break the bank on this, maybe $200ish tops. Thanks -Mike

I used the rustoleum kit from Lowes on my garage floors about 2.5 years ago and love it. It has held up great to big floor jacks, dragging stuff, every chemical and hot tires turning in place (my wife). Only thing I would do different is put the "clear" or gloss top coat they offer in addition to the "kit". It will aid in sweeping and mopping, which you will be doing alot. Good product for the money I love my floors.

Here are some pics of my garage floors. I did the walls with regular semi-gloss latex paint. Keep in mind that this was a basement garage built in 1964 with plain jane block and oil stained floors. With a little mopping and light cleaning I could make the floors and walls look that good again today.

we used that stuff and you can tell where we didn't take the time to clean good. we put ours under a open carport so it sees all the elements and has held up well with just a fe spots gone but nothing that hurts anything
