In my mid sixties now so a truck lift would be oh so helpful. I need one that'll pick up a dually unless that puts it out'a my price range. Maybe $2,000.00 or near that.

Ideas and comments, please.

You can get an offbrand China lift in that price range. Since your talking about picking up a dually, I'd recommend at least a 10k rated lift, and go with a well known brand, which will put you in the $3k price range, but will be well worth the difference. When I was looking a few years ago, I decided Bendpak was the best value, and ended up going with their XPR-10-168. It's easily lifted everything I've put on it. I also considered the Derek Weaver lifts:
2 Post Lift - 2 Post Car Lifts - Derek Weaver Company, Inc. Store
But there were some design aspects of the Bendpak I like better.

So don't get an off-brand China lift, but get a name-brand China lift. ;)

Yeah, I'd a lot rather pay a bit more and not be sorry.
What was the factors that you looked for?
Install it yer self?

If you can find out who the lift installation companies are in your area, you can often get used lifts for a very good deal.

Other than that, almost all lifts are made in China now, except the higher-end units like Mohawk, Rotary (some are China), and Nussbaum.

Essentially, yes. Like I said, Bendpak was the best value. They had better design features and decent quality. I'm sure you're aware there's a difference between cheap China crap and decent stuff that is also made in China ;)
