Does anyone know of a place local or online that sells the old style of gas cans? the metal ones with a regular spout, and a just a plastic can with none of the hold a trigger push this down blah blah junk on it? Ive been looking and cant find any.

I would be surpised if you find any...

unpossible

Too many idiots roasting themselves, so now the rest of us get the nanny cans ( which are actually just begging for some redneck re-engineering that will roast more folks )

You can still find them. Just watch out for the chinese versions. The good ones are imported and to comply with the rule mafia are marked not for fuel, but are made by the folks in Europe who still supply the sane parts of the world.

Second hit on Google - http://www.lexingtoncontainercompany.com/Nato-Jerry-Cans.html

I've bought both the real ones and the chinese ones from Cheaper Than Dirt. Some other places:

The HF cans are metal but have a really cheap plastic cap. I expect they would leak like crazy.

I picked up a few metal Blitz cans from Northern Tool last year for around $50 each. Unfortunately I haven't seen them on store shelves lately.

you can get spouts off ebay for whatever can you have....ive been meaning to order some for ours

Was there a law passed that made the pld style outlawed or something? Remember the old cans, I think they were 2 gallon maybe, round metal with the stiff yellow spout and the little plug in the end of it? If a man was smart back in the day, he woulda bout 3 dowzen of those. Thanks for the link on the jerry cans, I saved the link Ill order me bout a half a dozen here sometime before they outlaw those

Good old days on eBay....

Those metal cans yall just posted, do they have the none spill funnel and junk? Thats the can im talking about I want, but I would ruther have a regular funnel. How is the funnel set up on those as far as aggrovation level when trying to pour gas?

I buy Eagle from amazon.

This.

Blitz is no more. They went out of business because of lawsuits.

There are a few places selling metal cans from Eagle and a few other manufacturers. They have the CARB-certified spouts on them, but they sell "water can spouts" separately.

I've been meaning to buy a few, but haven't needed the smaller jugs as much since we quit using the portable genset.

Yea I would consider Jerry cans, I just hate the knew kind. I think ill buy me's some of them there water spouts. Snappy, I like those cans, I may look into buying some of them.
