Gas Smell Inside the Cab

I noticed today that when I got in my Jeep there was a gas smell whenever I was driving. I don't notice the smell outside of the jeep. Just inside. Any ideas on what to check first?
 
could the gas smell really be exhaust? I'm assuming this is your XJ. There could be a sensor problem, and the computer will dump fuel to compensate. Should be a CEL on later models though.

well it smelled like gas, but I was thinking it was probably exhaust... I didn't smell it at all this morning on the way to work, but I had my windows up. So I will just keep an eye on it.
