Since I'm switching out the fuel tank in my truck and replacing it with a cell, I'll have a 20 gallon fuel tank to get rid of. I've already drained 98% of the fuel out of it but I cant get that last little bit sloshing around at the bottom. Where do I take this thing to get rid of it? Can it be donated to a shop or will I have to wait for the local hazmat day at the dump?

Thanks

drill a hole in it. they are baffled most of the time on the inside. then let it sit in the sun for a few days, that should take care of any gas that is left

^^ Drill a bigger hole it in, stand waaay back and flick a match into it.
That will take care of your gas tank AND make you popular with the neighbors.

X2 on calling a junkyard.

Junkyards will take it as long as it's full of holes. I've taken a many in. I usually take aggressions out with an axe and they'll take it. But they'll walk you out the door with it if it's complete. Ask me how I know. :)

theres a great website, you take your worthless junk, and find people that will give you way too much money for it...and its free...

i believe its called "craigslist"

put your mouth over the fill neck & breath deep:lol::flipoff2:
