Gas tank opinions

I do not see a thread with options for gas tanks. I just removed the rear bumper and trailer hitch in preparation to get a rear bumper with hitch built in. I did not realize how much the gas tank hangs down. I would like to keep the little bit of trunk the jeep has. I cannot remove the back seat because I have two small kids. ( which also concerns me with the gas tank so low and exposed). Since I have a 3" body lift there is a lot of space between body and tank but there is a cross member in the way of lifting tank. Does anyone make shallower tanks? I thought of a skid plate but it would b nice to have more clearance. What r your guys opinions or thoughts for the best options?

Are you still running the factory skid? An after market skid will get the tank up a little bit but not as much as it sounds like you want. Could go the fuel cell behind the seat route as well.

Savvy gas tank skid if you want to keep the stock one. You can go up about an inch with the factory cross member and a 1" body lift. I have the savvy one and it is great
