Gas Tank Sealer?

I dont remember what it was called but I used something from Advance Auto on the pin holes in my tank about 3 years ago. I just practically puttied over the whole underside of the tank. It is still fine! Of course I sanded the tank and treated it with rust preventative first. Then the putty and then painted over it all. No more rust!

talking about just for the edges? I heard of Kreem before, but there is something better apparently.. Lemme hit up one of my bike boards...

I have some JB weld on my aluminum fuel cell that has held up good.

marine tex. get it at the boat stores. its specially made for aluminum cells. i have had it on my camaro tank for over ten yrs now without a problem. not to mention that one jar has been used plenty thru the yrs. you have to mix what you use like bondo but works great, is sandable and paintable.

The welded seams of the tank are perfect, i had then tigs and all is well there. I do have an internal baffle that needed to be sealed along the edges for it to work as intended. It's not structural just needs to be sealed..

I was considering some basic epoxy putty that you kneed up. But wanted to see what others have used (with success)

Thanks for the input..

I've always heard great things about the por15 sealer, and that's what I used too. It worked well for me. Not too cheap, but it's not something you want to cheap out on anyway.
