Hey everyone,

I'm trying to help out a friend of mine and possibly help a fellow wheeler who might be looking for a motor swap option. My friend has a 1992 Cadillac Sedan Deville that got rear-ended a few weeks ago. The caddy has a good strong running 4.9 V8 that I thought someone might be interested in. The car is still drivable but trunk is trashed and the rear frame is tweaked a little. The car has about 155K well maintained miles on it.

Thinking maybe 600.00 for the whole thing.

Thanks,

William

what trannies fit behind it? just curious if it is typical gm bellhousing stuff...

I think Lee already did something like that in a Isuzu, check with him for the particulars.

we put one in pinkstons trooper http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=339178 , it has a 60 degree GM bellhousing pattern. ( same as jeep 2.5, GM 2.5, 2.8, 3.1, 3.4, 3.8 ect, ect.) Torque monster motor, don't remember exact specifics, but it is around 275ft pounds at a 3000 RPM.

BTW, as far as trannys, we are using an SM420 behind his motor right now by using an s10 bellhousing.
