dont really have the $$, i've gotta pull the axle from the jeep. going to get a press today cause ive got another axle i'm setting up. ive asked matt to check behind me when i'm done. lol

i'm going to pull a part later to find a carrier

I said nothing about cash.

thanks for the help guys.

ive get set up bearings just got to get them 'opened up'

thanks for the offer jeff. ive got to learn how to do this one day. think its bout time.

I would advise you not to do your first gear swap alone.... it is pretty complex, not bad once you know what's going on though. If you have a friend that is knowledgeable on gear swaps, have him come over, buy him a 6, 12, or 18 pack and watch what he does like a hawk and get you hands dirty in the process.

Dude - take Jeff up on the offer! Let him let you do it with him so you can see how in person. I agree that jumping in and doing something yourself is teh best way to learn, but this is something where small things matter.
I'd LOVE to have somebody help me through a gear install

I have to agree with Ratlab take it to Jeff and take him up on the offer if for nothing else to have some standing there to show you how to do it even if you do all the work.

Thats is what I will be looking for when I decide to regear mine is just some one to stand over my shoulder and say do it this way or hey your doing that wrong. It is pretty complex and not jsut anyone can do it.

talked to jeff. i'm going to try it on my own, his next availible day is march 6, i'd like to get it on the road by then. but if it aint then i'm going to him immediatly lol.

he asked if i'd do a write up and take pics so if i'm not in a bad mood then i will, but if it aggravates me then i wont be able to haha. thanks for the reponses guys. wish me luck due to i already have another axle inline (spare/build-up front, of course)
