Gear ratio advice

Swapping in Waggy axles and I need some advice on what gear ratio to run. Im running a TBI 350/700R4/NP 231 combo and Im looking at running 36-38 inch tires. Im looking at running 5.13 - 5.89 gears. Does anyone have any expierience with this combo/gear ratios?

I would suggest 5:13's if these are 44 axles. Anything deeper and you wont have much strength in the pinion. It will be your weak link because of its size. In dana 60 and 70's its not as much an issue.

i'm running 4.88's w/37's going thru a tf727/np241 and it's plenty low.
your 700r4 has an even lower 1st gear. 5.13's/5.38's are overkill IMO

What jeep are you putting these in? I ran a front waggy 44 in my heavy ZJ with a 5.2 and had 4.88 gears and had no problems what so ever. Personally, as was stated, I think 5.13 gears would be the lowest I would go.
